(240 reviews) Great location with busses outside the guest house direct to the City Centre every 5-10 minutes. On-site parking which is great also but limited. Its quite self-service as there isnt anyone to greet you are just left a key and have to phone them up when you arrive. Take your own towels as there were none left for me in the room which I found strange. The property entrance hall and stairwell need refurbishing - large stained areas on carpet. Room was adequate and beds were comfortable. No disturbance but a lingering smell in room, partly a drain smell from shower. Needed a spare key for my son butvthere wasn't one. Good, frequent bus system, into Edinbugh, from stops very close by. (162 reviews) We had booked an en suite room (Rm8). The check in was easy and room although basic ie a d/bed (which was comfy enough) and large tv was clean as was bathroom. It had tea and coffee and it was quite quiet. Room was well heated. Only down sides were only 1 very flat pillow each which was not ideal for sleeping(we didn’t get back until near 11pm so nobody there)and shower hose stand was broken at top making it hard to shower without holding(left note).
