Pet friendly, with a new hot tub. Overlooks fork of Red River.
This older, rustic cabin exudes charm and character, conveniently located next to Natural Bridge State Park and right on the Middle Fork of the Red River. Explore the view of the creek and the sound of its calming trickle! This comfortable & completely modern log cabin comes with many amenities and is tastefully furnished and decorated. The main great room has a slate pool table, satellite flat screen TV couch and Lazy Boy Chair and dining table to use while enjoying the gas log fireplace. Outside there is a huge deck overlooking the creek! It is located along Rt 11, next to the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop and .5 miles from Miguel's Pizza.
There are 2 bedrooms, one private on the main floor with a memory foam queen bed, and flat screen TV for DVDs or gaming, and one large open loft bedroom upstairs with a memory foam queen bed, Foosball table, desk (if work demands the call of duty), and a private balcony; 1 newly remolded full bathroom with tile shower is on the main floor. In the great room, a gas log fireplace sits beneath a large flat screen Satellite TV. Enjoy the fire or sharpen your billiards skills while watching the latest news or sporting event. The Cabin has central heat and private A/C units in each room for custom comfort settings. It will sleep up to 4. . The large deck extends around 3 sides of the cabin, has picnic tables and a brand New hot tub (2022) & park style charcoal grill outside on the enormous deck is quite scenic as sits over the Middle Fork of the Red River. (Basically, river is a shallow creek in this region). Easy access, all flat paved roads to a flat gravel parking driveway makes reaching this cabin easy for 2wd vehicles and a great option for winter cabin stays when snow could be in the forecast.
For larger groups this cabin is conveniently located near Bear Cub and the small Black Bear Lodge motel.
The cabin does not offer Wi-Fi.

All in all it’s a nice cabin placed in a very convenient location in the gorge. Close to food and activities while still feeling at home enough to not be bothered by others.
Had a great time. Hot tub was so relaxing after long day of hiking and exploring. Beds were super comfortable. Location was very central to all activities we wanted to do.
My grown son and I enjoyed the location next to the river where we saw a beaver at work both mornings we were there. The beds were very comfortable. The coffee shop so close was great as well as ease to get to other restaurants and the trails. We will likely stay here again. Thank you!
Over all the stay was perfect! Hot tub was clean and great, no WiFi but we lived. Pool table is not in the ideal location ( to close to the window) but still had a blast 10 out of 10 would stay again.
3 guys stayed here and had a great time at this house. Between the hot tub and the pool table, we were very happy with choosing this location. Having a TV with cable was a nice touch as well! Proximity was great, we were able to walk across the street for dinner and a local bar and also close to Miguels. The house is a little out of date, had a DVD/VHS combo, and could use another bed upstairs, although both that they did have were very comfortable. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future!
Overall awesome little cabin!!!! Was so excited to get there, I forgot to bring food, paper towels, coffee filters, etc.
Nice relaxing getaway weekend for our 20th anniversary. Liked the location of cabin, hot tub was awesome, pool table.
Dishes had to be rewashed prior to using would recommend dishwasher be added. Also 1 of bathroom lights kept flickering & TV in bedroom didn't work.
Otherwise a cute cabin we would rent again! Coffee shop, BBQ restaurant and Mexican restaurant right up the road from the cabin.

Long Weekend
Cabin is pretty. Great location. Beds comfortable. Plenty of parking for everyone.
-Cleanliness was a small issue, re-washed a lot of dishes in the cabinets before use due to residual food and splatter.
-Cigarette butts in the outdoor ash trays when we arrived.
-TV’s in the bedroom, had DVR players, however neither worked. Main TV in LR had satellite and worked just fine.
-Bring extra towels. They provide one very small bath towel and one wash rag per person for 4 days.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The hot tub and the pool table were the reasons I booked the cabin. There were some minor things that could be fixed/changed. We were there on Tuesday when the severe weather moved through the area and there were spots where the rain was leaking through. The kitchen wasn't very clean when we got there. Also, there is a spot in the upstairs closet where you can see directly into the downstairs bedroom. Our kids found it so just a heads up to any parents that stay in that bedroom. :)

Disliked: Cleanliness
I planned a last minute trip and was happy to find a place. I rate this cabin a 3 out of 5.
The positives:
1. nice hot tub
2. pool table
3. comfortable mattresses
4. remodeled bathroom
The negatives:
1. the cabin is not 100% clean
2. lacks the small thoughtful touches that make it feel nice
3. Things were broken (blinds on the front window=privacy issue, 1 eye on the stove)
3. the air conditioning is insufficient (I visited in July, the upstairs was unusable, the downstairs only cool at night)
4. There is a mouse problem with droppings in the kitchen drawers and a previous guest left a note about a dead mouse in a kitchen cabinet-the note and mouse fur was still there.
It worked for a couple of nights, but I was happy to leave. Will not rent again.
We got moved because of a water heater snafu, but really enjoyed the Shiloh cabin! Clean, well-maintained, and had all we needed! Communication with the host was really smooth and just enough. We’ll be booking with this host/company again.
The river view was not as nice as expected and the black bear lodge is within 50’ left of the grizzle cabin porch which takes away from the seclusion and privacy
It was listed air conditioning…. However there were 3 window units that were not suitable for the space … the whole cabin was hot …. there was a very musty smell when we walked into the cabin . There was also a disclosure printed with the cabin rules “ there is wildlife here “ including inside wildlife.. mice, bugs “ ,
