Smolenický zámok
Smolenice Castle is situated on the eastern slope of the Small Carpathian Mountains in the village of Smolenice. Built in the 15th century, it was badly damaged in both the 17th century and the Second World War. It has been owned by the Slovak Academy of Science since 1953, and is used as a conference centre. It is only open to the public during July and August. You can get here by bus or train from Trnava, which is around 25 km away. #castle #malekarpaty
