"This property is need of a lot of repair. Leaks through the ceiling, peeling paint, the water tank is a real issue - you may run out of drinking water! Marks and holes in walls through the property. It is not a virtual check in you have to go collect the keys. We lost two hours trying to get hold of virtual check in. Microwave sounds like it’s going to explode and dishwasher doesn’t work. Really terrible stay. The only plus is there’s a lovely view"

Beautifully situated comfortable cottage and pottery, a perfect holiday base
10/10 Excellent
"We wanted somewhere rural, quiet and comfortable with access to nearby beaches, and that's exactly what we had! The house is located a mile away from the main road down a track, so there is no passing traffic. Malcolm and Sarah are fabulous hosts, on hand to assist if required, generously giving their time to recommend places of interest and to loan towels for the dogs. The house is lovely, with a small secure patio and grassed area at the back, perfect for our small dogs to mooch about. There are walks directly from the house - either in the field owned by the hosts, who live next door, or to the South West Coast Path which leads out to Bantham beach. Slapton Sands/Torcross, Salcombe, Bigbury-on-Sea, Start Point (a steep and long walk down to the lighthouse and beach - not for the faint-hearted) and Hope Cove were favourites of ours. We had a lovely stay, with the bonus of great weather! "

"Excellent, comfortable and tastefully appointed beach house just a few metres from the picturesque Challaborough surf beach, Bigbury, Burgh Island and the great ocean walk. The little villages of South Devon were a delight, particularly close-by Ringmore with excellent eating at free house The Journeys End. "
"The room was nice, and the hospitality was excellent from the landlady. Breakfast was a really welcome treat, and I was happy that it was included in the good value price I paid. Thanks "
"Very friendly staff who made us most welcome. The meals were excellent. particularly breakfast. The bar was kept open, at our request, on Sunday evening so we could meet the family of the deceased before the funeral. A very important and emotional gathering of old friends."
