What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Out door 8' professional table by the pool and outdoor TV.

We are thrilled that you are looking at spending some time with us at Athena Ares Condominiums. Our beach home is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a families only restriction. We proudly honor all military and law enforcement with a 10% discount off the nightly rate. If the dates that you are looking for are not available in this condo, we have 5 more fantastic condos in the same great complex that might work for your dates. This condo was perfect for my family and two dogs. The grill by the pool is great and we love how close it is to the beach. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone traveling to South Padre.

Most Amazing Beach Property Ever!! Caring Owners, Incredible Amenities, and Magnificent Pool.

Magical! That is the one word I would use to describe this property and the owners who care about the guest experience so much. Athena Ares is truly the gem of SPI. Great owners and magnificent property. Fully stocked with every amenity, pet-friendly, and very modern with tip to extended comfort. The best attributes are the massive pool/hot tub area (complete with cabana, outdoor kitchen, billiard table and bathroom), security, incredible balcony area and location. Why stop there! Accessible to everything the island has to offer, great wifi, exceptionally clean, and did I mention the pool?! This property is truly a retreat and is so well appointed. In addition to having the opportunity to meet the owners in person โ€“ amazing couple who have put so much love and devotion into this paradise โ€“ we met many of our fellow guests. Some of these guests were repeat visitors to Athena Ares and we can completely understand why. My family has traveled to over a dozen beach destinations in the last decade and never stayed at a location more in tune with details or as pleasant/enjoyable as Athena Ares. As Homeaway limits characters on this review, I am going to annotate my review but will post a more thorough one on the property Facebook page. If you are comparing properties, know that this sanctuary will not leave you disappointed. The only thing further I might suggest to future guests is that when you arrive, open the picture book on the coffee table and give it a quick read. This book tells a very touching story of sacrifice and devotion and better explains the origin of the name of the property as well as a backstory of the ownership. The details of this book are something my entire family will never forget and are so grateful to have experienced. Trust me on this last point! We are so incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at Athena Ares and feel like we have new friends in Martin and Diane. Such great vibes and we cannot wait to return.

Fantastic trip!

We had a wonderful time and the property was perfect. Took my daughter, my sister, our pup and friends down for spring break. Condo had plenty of space and alllll the amenities. So nice to have a heated pool since the weather was a bit chilly. Very close to the beach and 4 blocks from wanna wanna! Check in was easy. I forgot to sign the docs (doh!)and the team was incredibly helpful with making sure we had everything ready to check in. 10/10 will book again!

Great little family vacation

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was perfect for our family, and we were even able to bring our fur baby as well. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool area was great - We could have spent every day just hanging out by the pool and playing corn hole, shooting pool or watching movies. If we are ever in SPI again, we will definitely stay here!!

PERFECT AS ALWAYS

We stay here at least 1-2x a year with our two teenager girls and our puppy and ALWAYS have an amazing stay! One of the TVs was on the blitz and Alex was there within the hour to replace it. Looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing!

The unit itself was so clean! Cleaner than any other VRBO we have stayed at. Beds were comfy and we felt right at home. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the fact that our dogs were welcome and that we werenโ€™t charged an arm and a leg to bring them. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Athena Ares is a great complex with a ton of amenities for a great time on SPI! We are already talking about next visit and can't wait to come back. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area the most and condo layout worked well for our group. Location was convenient to the beach with a couple restaurant/entertainment options in either direction. The included beach equipment makes for an easy day at the beach and will be something we utilize next time!

We loved the condo!

We stayed at this property and loved it! Perfect size for the 5 of us. Maybe a 3 minute walk to the beach which was perfect. The pool and hot tub were great. Very clean and a lot of floaties and toys were provided. Overall we had a great experience and hope to return very soon!

Lovely Condo

This condo is beautifully furnished and very clean. Our stay was very comfortable. Use caution if booking over Spring Break. Large groups sometimes book multiple units in this complex. Otherwise a great stay.
