This condo was a major disappointment. To start, we received a call from the property manager about 10 minutes before we arrived telling us the building didn't have water but they were expecting it to be back on in a few hours. This wasn't great news but we were willing to accept the unfortunate situation and enjoy the beach before nightfall. Midnight came and the building was still without water - we couldn't wash our hands, flush the toilets or shower after a long day of traveling, and very humid conditions. When I asked about leaving, the property manager said we could go but our rate was non-refundable. The next morning, we were still without water so I called Hotels.com and spoke with the manager on duty. He agreed our request for a refund was a valid one and brokered our request. It was a hassle finding a new place to stay and repacking all of our belongings but it worked out.
As for the condo, I was disappointed in the overall condition of the unit. It wasn't very well maintained, the AC didn't work well and the unit just felt dirty. I suspect they were not able to properly clean and sanitize the unit since there was no running water. Our health and safety was my biggest concern as we were in the midst of COVID-19. Water issue aside, the condo wasn't worth the money we paid...the online photos made the place look much nicer than it really is.
