Dave reached out a few days in advance to reassure us that they were prepared and didn’t expect any issues from the storm. When we arrived everything was perfect, you wouldn’t have even known there was a hurricane a couple days prior. Plenty of kayaks, canoes, and life jackets and the weather was perfect. The kids loved the playing on the lily pad mat. We were able to watch the mullet jumping, see turtles, manatees and even a dolphin swimming through the canal right from the dock. All of the light switches were labeled. Lots of room to spread out. All of the local Weeki art on the walls added to the Weeki experience. There were plenty of games to keep us all entertained. We really enjoyed being in a quiet, pet friendly house, with a big backyard, only a short paddle to the clear Weeki water. All of the kayaks/canoes/paddles/life jackets were in good shape. On the river, we saw manatees and deer. We also enjoyed the firepit every night. There were plenty of outdoor chairs outside to sit by the fire. Kayaked to the river and found the hotdog snack boat which was really cool! Manatees with babies were right off the dock and we dolphins went under our kayaks just as we were entering the river from the canal.
