This cabin a wonderful place to escape for a winter retreat. There was no snow but our family had a great time. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our family. I loved all the art and decor.
We had a great stay at the Hurd cabin. Quiet location & comfortable. Good proximity to lakes and town. We even had a whole herd of bighorn sheep walk through on a quiet evening!
The cabin was nice and in a good location for us. It was quiet and safe. The only thing I’d change is stocking the cabin with more toilet paper (two rolls for a whole week with 8 people is not enough) and note there is no dish washer so bring disposable eating utensils/plates if you don’t want to do dishes your whole vacation.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hurd cabin! It was so peaceful and such a lovely setting. It was an easy, short, drive to town. The kitchen was well supplied and the cabin was homey and clean. We hope to return!

Cabin is gorgeous, hot tube is wonderful. We loved how quiet it was, close to hiking, fishing, off-roading etc....would defiantly stay here again.
Nice quiet relaxing cabin with all you need and a jacuzzi if you like to take an extra relaxation. Overall We were happy I do think kitchen needs to replace kitchen wear and dust caben little better other than that enjoyed the stay.
Overall, it was a nice stay, albeit a bit hot this week due to the unusual heat wave AZ is experiencing. I don't think the cabin is worth the price though, especially with the Vrbo fee added in, and will, most likely, not be using Vrbo again.
2 adults, 6 kids (8-14) and 2 dogs. We spent 1 day skiing Sunrise, 1 day hill sledding and 1 day hanging out. Location is 1/2 mile off main road which is the reason you go to Greer. Great way to spend down time with the kids. Plenty of room for all.
We enjoyed our time in Greer and at the Hurd Cabin but it could use some updating/restocking. The mattresses on the beds were not comfortable, bathroom towels were like sandpaper and the kitchen drawers/cabinets were in disarray. Cooking utensils you would expect to be in a VRBO were not there so bring your own. There was only 1-1/2 rolls of toilet paper in both bathrooms but we decided not to contact management. Sitting out on the front deck was the highlight of the cabin!
One of the main reasons I selected this cabin was for the hot tub. We turned it on the minute we got there and never heated about 86. Upon inspection on our last day we noted a very large iceberg (haha) under the hot tub. I'm assuming a line must have burst under the hot tub causing damage to it during the freeze and thaw process. I did let the property manager know. Other than that it was amazing.
The cabin was quite spacious and beds were comfortable. The hot tub was a nice treat after a long day. Excellent location close to great fishing spots and forest exploration.

Inaccurate description of property
This cabin was super cute and worked perfect for my family. The only reason why I rented this specific house was for the new installed jacuzzi that was described in the bio of this house. When we got there the jacuzzi was at 91 and would not get any higher and when I called two hours after check in they told me someone would be there the next morning. The next day someone from check in called and said that the owners know the jacuzzi is broken and won’t get past 91 degrees. I wish I would have been told that before I booked it since they knew. It was a big disappointment and when I reached out for partial refund or anything they did not respond.
Our family of 7 enjoyed staying at the Hurd cabin for a long weekend. The cabin had everything we needed, the hot tub was relaxing, and it was conveniently located to restaurants/shops and lakes for fishing. Some of us even went for a horseback ride. We will definitely be back again. Our one suggestion would be new pillows. Thank you for allowing us to use your cabin.
My family spent Thanksgiving day at the Hurd Cozy Log Cabin in Greer and it was amazing! We all loved the cabin, especially the way it was decorated. It was exciting to wake up 2 mornings and see a herd of big horn sheep walking 50 yards from the cabin. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was nicely stocked with everything we needed. The property manager responded to my request to allow my son-in-law to pick up the keys and open the cabin since he was already in the area so that was greatly appreciated. We would definitely rent this cabin again if in the Greer area. Great place to stay when son-in-law was hunting nearby. We were able to have great family memories at Thanksgiving.
Peaceful and out of the way. Cute cabin with comfortable beds. The kitchen is a little small for cooking, but overall it was a great vacation.

Great for 2 day stay w Family
Stayed here with my family for two days so we could attend two different memorials. It was roomie enough for 7 adults and 1 two year old. Everything worked properly.
Just a few things to mention if you want to stay here.
-It does get very hot during the summer times. (No AC) I recommend bringing a fan for your room.
-Bring your own coffee and creamer. They supply the filters
-Remember this area does not have cell service and most wifi out here is not great.
But all around good place to stay for a few days with 6-7 people. Thank you for having us.
Needs a better stocked kitchen for cooking. Pots and Pans old with metal flaking off most of them. No bottle opener. Had to ask for can opener which property manager did deliver then next day. Only two miss-matched pot lids. It appeared the oven was stuck at cooking only at 350 degrees. Hot tub was nice, but not all jets were working. Location was fine. If you are going in the summer, be warned: there is no air conditioning.
