“Located in a suburban area just outside of St. John's. Not a vacation destination in itself, but easy access to chain stores and restaurants for convenience and getting set up for a more extended trip.”
“I stayed at the Ramada Inn during the Canada, summer games. I rented an E bike to go to the venues to go encourage the athletes. The hotel let me park my bike in my room, which was very much appreciated.
Staff was very hard-working and helpful, the room was very clean. I appreciated the small fridge as I could purchase some food at the nearby Sobeys or Walmart. Also, the restaurant downstairs was handy for takeout or room service.”
“The owner was very genuine and welcoming, I enjoyed the sailor motif and collected items in the room I stayed. There was not air conditioning but a fan was enough to keep me comfortable there even in the summer.”
“The Duckworth was an older building but the room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The location was good for walking to Jelly Bean Row, restaurants and pubs. Access to the George Street Festival was close by as well. ”
“This is a really fun hotel, and the lavish rooms were amazing! The staff, especially the concierge at the door were truly wonderful- chatty and friendly, with great & helpful recommendations. We did valet parking which was great, but means I can’t speak to the ease of self parking. The location is ok- it’s easily walkable to all the sites on Water street etc. Just a heads up, there is a shelter very close so there are a higher number of unhoused people around the area, however at no point did we……
