“Fresh cooked breakfast ready and waiting for us in the dining hall was an exciting experience. Music playing, fresh coffee, nice cozy personal ambiance, food was deliciously flavorful and a few options to chose from. Place is extremely clean, open to tour open spaces, and the history is super cool. Pillows and beds very comfortable and had to ask what brand everything was so I could order for my home. Jim is super friendly and sociable and we really enjoyed his hospitality. This is our 2nd……

“Cabin was as described and more! So cozy and the snow made even more so. Dan, the host, is great! Kitchen was stocked with all cooking essentials which for us is a need be. Anticipation for Elk proved great! We will return!”

“This was a great location for all we planned on seeing in this section of Pennsylvania. The home was very clean and neat; roomy and nice design; had everything you would need to prepare meals; quiet and peaceful backyard. We saw an Eagle, a Blue Heron and a Kingfisher at the creek. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely visit again if we are back in the PA Wilds.”

“The house was very clean, spotless and warm and cozy. Bedrooms were did not seem old, nice bedding. The house had a GREAT heating system, since we went in February. Dan communicates very quickly. ”

“All that you want in a stay. Courteous staff, clean and comfortable room, and solid breakfast in the morning. ”

“It was a great little cabin. It had everything we needed plus more. We didn’t see any elk, but lots of elk droppings including in the back yard of the cabin so they were close. ”

“Property is clean. It is located close to the road so you can hear the traffic and trucks all night long if you are a light sleeper. The bed is VERY firm as well. The shower pressure is really good and the water gets hot— nice and relaxing after hiking and looking for elk.”

“This was the 2nd time my three friends and I stayed here for an annual HS reunion of sorts. As with last year, we had a good time! The bedrooms are nice with a little room to move about. The house was clean. We did plenty of cooking in the kitchen, too. There were no issues so there was no need to reach out to the host during our stay. My only criticism would be the cooking pans could be better, but we made do. There's a good chance we'll try for this place again next year!”
