"Great place to stay on the beach in Watamu, proximity to Malindi international airport was super given construction between Mombasa and Watamu! The private adults pool is amazing for those without kids that want a quiet pool. If you are across from the dining/entertainment area though it is loud with music at night until about 12:30 am - next time will request room on the opposite side. I had a wedding blessing that was absolutely incredible - Nancy the planner was the best!!!"

"Our stay at Serena Bay was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The service was exceptional — truly a 10/10 experience thanks to the warm, attentive, and professional staff who made us feel welcome every single day. We stayed for 8 days in a beautiful room overlooking the beach, and waking up to that stunning view every morning was unforgettable. The food was fantastic across both restaurants — delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. One of the highlights was the daily afternoon tea from 4–5 p.m., which offered a lovely selection of treats in a relaxing setting. The spa team was wonderful as well professional, friendly, and they created such a calm, peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind completely. For families, the kids club was an absolute gem. Our 3-year-old daughter adored it and looked forward to going every day. The staff were incredibly caring, patient, and engaging, we could see how much they genuinely enjoyed spending time with the children. Overall, Serena Bay exceeded all our expectations. It’s the perfect place for both relaxation and family fun. We can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to return!"

"Check in went poorly as there was some confusion regarding a change in meal options. Then the room we were put in had a leaky A/C unit so we were moved to another room which we then had problems with the door lock. I have to say that with all of these minor problems they were rectified very quickly. I was surprised to find there was no refrigerator in the rooms but I should have checked the facilities provided. I dont know why they provide a tv when there in nothing you can watch on it and not even a communal tv where sports can be watched. We had opted for the dinner option for the first evening and on going to the restaurant where dinner was being served found a very limited variety of dishes available. After serving myself I returned to my table and started to eat only to find everything was cold. I asked my wife how her food was and she said hers was also cold. I then went and checked the baine maries and found they were all cold, well definitely not anywhere close to the 60 degrees Celsius they should be. I then complained about the cold food and pointed out that the possibility of food poisoning using cold baine maries was a real possibility. They then took my plate of food away and about five minutes later returned with the same plate of food and indicated it had been reheated, again a perfect recipe for food poisoning, but it was actually cold. I then left the restaurant and went to reception asking to see a supervisor or even better the manager. Not good "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Baobab Sea Lodge. It is a beautiful place, with charming guest cottages that are interwoven among the network of walkways and greenery. My stay was restful and relaxing. The staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and attended to. I can't say enough about the way they made sure everything was absolutely perfect. I would definitely stay here again."
