"We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ilonka’s home. We stayed with our two kiddos for four nights, and it was lovely. The home was incredibly clean and had everything we needed and more (great kitchen utensils, pots and pans and appliances, coffee, towels, washer/dryer, books/magazines, Netflix, games, and reliable Wifi). Our kids loved feeding the deer, and we spent a lot of time outside under the trees at the picnic table playing games and relaxing in the hammock. The home is a 5 minute walk to the grocery store, which also has a bakery and coffee (open on Sunday’s), and the lake with restaurants is less than a mile. The bikes at the home look brand new and were really nice to use to go to dinner. The train station is close with easy access to Munich and the airport. We did several day trips to Munich and the Neuschwanstein Castle, but we’re so happy we stayed here rather than in the busy city of Munich. Ilonka went above and beyond and was very responsive and kind. Truly an amazing place!"

"My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a week working remotely that was in the countryside but still accessible to Munich. This apartment was well suited for that as it had an excellent desk. The location is absolutely perfect - right on the lake with a gorgeous view. We ate most of our meals on the balcony and it was set up perfectly with umbrellas and beautiful flowers. Everything you could want is in walking distance, from restaurants, grocery stores, and an incredible bakery. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and went SUP. The apartment is extremely spacious, although we did not use the upstairs much. The bathroom is large and very well equipped. I especially appreciated the little touches like the dividers in the drawer in the bathroom so you could really unpack. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Stephan met us when we arrived and took the time to explain everything we needed to know. He created the most informative book of any vacation rental I have ever stayed it and it was very useful. I highly recommend the hike to Andechs brewery and taking the boat from Herrsching to Dießen. There so many things to do in the area - plus you can hop on the train to Munich. We loved staying here and hope to come back."
