We have stayed at this hotel before and find it very conveniently located right next to a good shopping mall and with easy access to Cumberland and Comox. Our room, two queen beds, was quite spacious with lots of room for both suitcases. Free water, juice and nibbles were in our room on arrival, and an all-day free coffee machine in the lounge provided many varieties of coffee and tea. The hotel has been recently renovated and was very clean with comfortable beds. The restaurant is right across the parking lot, but it is very popular, so allow wait time on weekends. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and we would definitely recommend the Coast Courtenay.

We stayed at Painter's for two nights on the way to, and back, from Telegraph Cove. Painter's is a very relaxing place to stay on a busy road trip. It's a little time out to just sit on the fantastic terrace and have a drink or a meal and watch that spectacular view. On our first night, there was a humpback in the inlet and it was a joy to sit, with a glass of wine and some binoculars, and just watch it. The staff and so friendly and helpful, I enjoyed chatting about the gardens and the cruise ships going past. We had sea view rooms both times, it's a great view to wake up to. There's a lovely outdoor pool that, unfortunately, I did not get time to use but maybe next time. Painter's is a lovely, relaxing place to stay, we would recommend it.

We absolutely loved the view. We could walk to water and we loved watching ferries cruiseships, bear and whale watching boats go out. We weren't able to get to pool or fitness center. We enjoyed the breakfast. We initially got in the room and were chilly however as time went on we got pretty warm. We figured out how to use cold air fan. We also opened window. We enjoyed our stay

Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Hotel was quiet and beds very comfortable.
