“First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left.
We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view.
Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got.……

“Great location, with loads of parking in the area and really close to the station (handy to get to Newcastle) and the seaside.
The staff was helpful when we had an issue with the check in, and was always responsive to our requests.
The room was alright, even though the bed wasn't exactly comfy, and the timed fan in the bathroom wasn't ideal at night.
The best thing overall was the cafe, in which we went for all the three days. Hats off! The staff was amazing, and they could accommodate our……
