We went to see the wildflowers around Soda Lake, but due to hotter-than-usual weather that caused the blooms to fade early, we were unable to see them; nevertheless, we spent a clean, quiet, and comfortable night there.

Great little motel. I like it because you park right in front of your room. Off the main highway but worth the side trek. They have an ice maker and a pool. Have stayed one night twice and it is quiet and secure. Room has small coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. A huge bonus is the attached Mexican restaurant La Salsa. No need to leave the property. Will be back.

Only here for a late check in and early departure however it’s clean, quiet and has all that I needed. A little off the main drag, which is where I like to stay. All in all, just what I was looking for and great value for money.

What I liked about Topper motel is that it is family run—not one of those national franchises—and this is what distinguishes it as far as homey feeling, personally invested staff and the feeling of being in a one and only place
