“Even though we had a non-smoking room, it’s still smelled like smoke… I guess it drifted from the casino. We enjoyed the casino and the view of the river!”

“The hotel was clean and the staff were available, it was adequate. The building is just old and has been used hard. There were no amenities. It was a nuisance that everything and everybody had to go through the main entrance, and all the others were closed. Something functioning keycards fix at most places. The price I paid was twice what it was worth, considering it was barely occupied. The attached casino is the old ashtray type. The Casino next door was much nicer and walkable. I probably……

“The Baer House exceeded our expectations. It was furnished with so many unique 1800’s pieces. The breakfast was delicious. Latonya was a wonderful hostess. She was kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the house and the furnishings.”

“Staff was excellent. Facilities where clean and well maintained. We stayed in the room next to the pool. Voices could be heard in the room next door because of connection through air vents. Was not a problem for us but might be for others.”

“If you’re looking for a real historical place to stay, this is it. Very well maintained..bathrooms in our building, Halpino, was excellent..all redone. Bed very comfortable, floors creeked but very old building. Breakfast was at another building you could walk too. Was excellent and fancy. Was in a further area from historic downtown but easy drive. Historic it is perfect for Vicksburg.”
