The vibe is contemporary with beautiful stained glass windows, but the construction also pays homage to the home's history. "Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening and playing corn hole and bocci outside as well. Even though it seemed we were away in the middle of nowhere and very quiet, town was only a short drive away. Some of us did take and enjoy the Yuengling Brewery tour. "Had a great time in Jim Thorpe. First time here. Lots of shops and entertainment. Even had a few late night spots open for food and drinks. Everything we ate was good. Our stay was clean and accommodating. Helen had great communication all throughout the stay. The location was walking distance to town which made it enjoyable. I would definitely recommend and i would return."

"Centrally located with easy access to everything in Palmerton. Cottage is as described. The kitchen is small, so if you are planning to make large meals, it would be difficult. Bathroom entrance is a bit snug, with sink placement, but was fine for us."

"We had a great stay at the Rustic Modern Tiny Home! It was a good size for our family, two adults and two teenagers. The loft is small, but even our very tall son was able to sleep up there with no issues. The location was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was a great treat! Only a ~15 min easy drive from Jim Thorpe. The home was in great condition and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again."
