Well. My only wish with this hotel has always been the breakfast, that has been always as close to "you are better off going to a diner" as it ever gets.
Now that was not th elimit: this time they outdid even themselves.
Cereal, muffins and english muffins in the same plate were the choice.
Coffee was 100F. Lukewarm at best. Probably from teh day before, as I do not think that before 6:40am the freshly brewed coffee has sufficient time to cool down this much.
The next day I had the impression that what they had for breakfast was the leftovers from the day before. I also discovered a fridge with yougurts; it did an excellent job pretending to be anything other than a fridge and a size of a woman's purse, the smallest fridge I have ever seen in my life. Though the coffee this time was hot.
I had excellent breakfast in motels in Carolinas along Rte 95, where i paid $45 a room a night. Luscious. This room is twice the price.
Now, they were also out of bar soap. They supplied shower gel instead. When asked they simply said, we are out of it.
The rooms are cleaned by special request only. The reason - "we are understaffed."
I get that. But at least coul you guys replenish the soap supply? I ran out of shampoo and the "gel" soap the end of the second day.
I like the rooms, the location is fine, but if this is to continue, next time in the fall II will stay elsewhere, despite this being my go-to place for the last 4 years.
