The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the property is old and dated. It was obvious the no smoking rule wasn't imposed. The smell of pot was very strong on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

The First Gold did not disappoint. The rooms are recently renovated along with the newly finished Horseshoe Restaurant down below. It is conveniently located across the Days of 76 arena. There is a casino area at this location too. There is a trolley stop located nearby to take you downtown Deadwood. Friendly-Helpful staff. Make sure to check out their affordable rates!
