"What a fabulous B&B this is! Graham & Kay are excellent hosts. The professionalism and eye to detail is to be revered. The room was clean, tidy and provided everything one would want to make the stay comfortable. It is centrally located with parkingclose by. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this B&B and we will be back."

"Generally, it was a lovely stay of 2 nights. I had an initial issue with the shower which was not resolved on time so had to change rooms. Staff were helpful eventually. Neat rooms and close to city centre."

"We had three nights here and were pleasantly surprised, The staff were excellent and the restaurant had a relaxed and professional ambiance. Rooms were a little small but the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. Only criticism was that there was no telephone in the bedroom and we were told that guests should use their own mobile phone if they needed anything. Perhaps the hotel should note that not everyone uses a mobile phone and even if they do, there is no guarantee that the signal would be strong enough to make a call. If the guest has an emergency in the middle of the night is the hotel expecting the guest to find their phone and the appropriate external number to call for assistance! Bearing in mind recent issues at a certain hotel group, I would have considered this to be a basic safety requirement. So anyone thinking of booking here should ensure they have a mobile, fully charged, switched on and the number of the hotel saved in their contacts. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to others."

"The staff at the Dog & Crook were excellent, very attentive and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the ensuite was also spotless with all facilities in good order. We ate in the pub and the curries we had were the best we've eaten in quite some time. Good choice of beers too. Breakfast was cooked to order. Basically, a great place to stay!"

"Very welcoming. Room was clean. Very comfortable . Staff very helpful. Would certainly come again but probably opt for room not on the front. Very noisy which I appreciate is not you fault. We ate in the restaurant with some friends would recommend. The food was delicious. Compliments to the Chefs. Service was good. We had a lovely stay thank you."
