Cradle Mountain is the stunning sentinel of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park and an emblem of Tasmania’s wild interior. Interestingly, the area was named for actual fires that Aboriginal inhabitants set along the beach rather than the orange lichen.
