Slightly north of Lyndoch, Chateau Yaldara has been creating delicious wines since 1947, soon after founder Hermann Thumm migrated here from Georgia, which was then part of Russia. Johann Gramp, a Bavarian-born vigneron or winegrower, planted grapes in the Barossa Valley in that year. The date features prominently in the name of many of the winerys favorite vintages.
