2. San Cristobal Hill

Rising from the heart of Santiago is the scenic peak of San Cristobal Hill (Cerro San Cristóbal). The 2,280-foot-tall (860-meter) hilltop offers unbeatable views across Santiago and out toward the breathtaking Andes mountain range. Cerro San Cristóbal is the highlight of Parque Metropolitano, Santiago’s largest urban park. Enjoy its landscaped green spaces, swimming pools, a zoo and kids’ playgrounds.

3. Museum of Memory and Human Rights

A visit to the Museum of Memory and Human Rights (Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos) provides a glimpse into life during Chile’s dictatorship years. It’s a must for anyone with an interest in recent Chilean history. Find interactive exhibits that retell the events of the 1973 coup d’état and the human rights violations that took place between then and 1990.

4. University of Santiago-Chile

Visit University of Santiago-Chile (Universidad de Santiago de Chile) for interesting insight into the student and cultural life of one of Chile’s largest universities.
