Wayne was very accommodating. He greeted us on entering the driveway and offered us kickstand pucks to keep us from sinking in the gravel. He was very friendly and suggested places to go. Thank you.

The manager Bryce gave us excellent recommendations for dights to see at the south end of the island and where to park on a weekend in Kirkwall. Such a unique setting and quiet.

Lovely room. Breakfast was fantastc. Hostess Debra helpful. Lovely common room with good selection of Orcadian history, bird watching and ancient sites. Mainland Orkney is an amazing place. Too much to see, too little time. Should have spent a week there. Strommness does nothave many food choices..

The view was amazing! We appreciated the good-sized fridge.

Very nice location. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. We had a spacious room with beautiful views. This was a very pleasing stay.

This place is special. It's like checking into a royal house and getting the royal experience for a couple of days. The house itself gives you a very warm feeling, and dinner experience was very fancy, following all the rules. They also have a great collection of whiskeys. All in all, we loved living the dream.

Amazing experience! Welcoming and charming hosts, friendly and interesting fellow travelers with lots of good conversation in the evening afer checking in and throughout dinner together. The chef's food is wonderful and the house staff are attentive and always learning. We are completely delighted!

Good old-style hotel, very pleasant. Slept well, the family room was decent and quiet. Breakfast good, just a bit of bad luck as two tour groups flooded the room same time as us. Location very central, and we had no issue to park right in front.

The host, Andrea, was absolutely amazing. The location is a perfect centre location for NE Scotland. The pod was a home away from home complete highland coos right at the door step. The night skys were open and magical.

Superb property, well-stocked, great location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The lady at the front desk was extremely nice she gave us great ideas of what to do on our trip she was very sweet and the food at the restaurant was excellent

Do not miss the smallest street in the world, certified by the Guinness Book of World Records. Is part of the restaurant “No. 1” By the Way the restaurant has well elaborated recipes!!! Recommended !!!

Above all else was the hospitality of the staff: although they have an 11:00PM cut off time for checking in, when I found out that I would not arrive until 1:00AM because my flight was cancelled and I was put on a flight 5 hours later, I e-mailed them and they immediately agreed to take me in. When I arrived the door was open, the key was hanging on a hook at the desk and all was right in my world. That is really service in my book. PS: breakfast was wonderful.
