“A beautiful old home, efficiently run, with easy parking and access. Room was quiet, comfy bed and every convenience.”

“Dinner was good, breakfast was very good. Bathroom very spacious with excellent shower. Unfortunately there were no shelves for any toiletries. Staff were very attentive and friendly. My only criticism is that we paid for a superior room, but it didn’t feel or look superior. It was on the ground floor with two windows facing Main Street, so the blinds were closed to avoid people looking in. For a standard room that would have been ok, but not for a superior room. She actively provided advice on the choice of restaurants in the area and helped us book a table for dinner at Northern Sands. Jane and Richard are nice guys with their lovely cat, Lona. “It’s an older hotel and you can tell they work very hard to maintain it. Difficult to judge the amenities as they were all shut by the time of arrival. My only small concern was the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I’d like it.”

“My room was quite large with a lovely view from all the windows! The manager/owner was very friendly and so appreciative of our visit. A big plus was also being able to get a nice dinner in the cute pub after a very busy day on a Rabbie’s tour. It was a nice homey change from a typical hotel room.”
