Great room with cooking facilities inside which was appreciated although I didn't need to use, lady on the front desk was lovely and helpful. Good location in Timaru close to the beach
I enjoyed my stay at Anchor Motel. My room had everything I needed for 1 night stay. Bed comfortable. Kitchen had what i needed. Toilet /shower space was small. Staff were great. And the Cat Honey, was a delight.
It was just ok for price, heater was on but it needed it. Had everything that it said but didn't match pics that's for sure. Sitting on toilet my knees touched basin in front, shower was marginal, my caravan is bigger. Manager was polite & helpful.
Good victorian style building in nz's least famous seaside town. Came with electric blankets and heaters and it was a good toasty stay in a cold damp country.
Very nice small cabin with private bathroom, TV and comfy bed. There was a fridge, mic.owen and TV in the room as well as heating and heated matress. Everything I needed for a good one night stay in Timaru. Plus the staff was extremely nice and helpfull!!!
Wonderful welcome, and farewell.
Really comftable bed!

Whole house. Very old house which was actually quite an experience..pull chord for lights and shower over claw foot bath, took me back to my 20's..
1 full length mirror somewhere, would be great!! But iron and board were very helpful!
Needs some work on both bathrooms!
Extractor fan in kitchen VERY noisy...
Lovely big loung/dining area which was great for our family group ...12 all up... 7 staying in The House..
The house suited us as mostly only sleeping and showers...
Couplands across the road!!
Yes, I would stay again, as Im not looking for luxury accommodation and the price is reflective of this.
Ps, the cat was a bit annoying.
Very friendly check-in. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful with our questions being our first visit to Timaru.
Walked to the lighthouse then to the penguins. Returned late at night and had an awesome sleep in a very comfortable warm bed. The room is not fancy but perfect for the price and you just need somewhere to sleep.
