The best area to stay in Tkon is within the main village along the coast, particularly near the ferry port and the Riva.

This area is the heart of Tkon, offering convenient access to local amenities and the island's main transportation hub. You'll find a selection of local eateries, cafes, and small shops lining the waterfront promenade, known as the Riva. The village is compact and walkable, with the ferry terminal serving as a central landmark.

For couples, staying near the Riva is ideal. It provides easy access to evening strolls along the water, a variety of dining options, and the convenience of being close to the ferry for day trips to the mainland or exploring other parts of the island of Pašman.

Families will also find this central village area suitable.

The best time to visit Tkon is during the shoulder seasons, specifically May, June, and September, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

These months offer warm, sunny days great for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities without the peak summer heat or the larger number of tourists. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming, and local establishments will be fully open. This period is ideal for couples seeking a relaxed getaway or families who prefer a quieter experience before or after the school holidays.

July and August are the warmest months, with high temperatures and bustling activity. While excellent for those who enjoy a lively option and don't mind larger crowds, accommodations and popular spots will be at their busiest. This peak season is particularly suited for families looking for a classic summer vacation with plenty of activities and a vibrant beach scene.

Conversely, the off-season from October to April brings cooler temperatures and significantly fewer tourists. While some businesses may have reduced hours or be closed, this period offers a peaceful escape for those who prioritize solitude and don't mind cooler weather.
