The area surrounding the hotel is filthy dirty and even worse in some other neighbourhoods. Palermo has household garbage piled up at almost every corner - just not on the main tourist attractions. Palermo makes Napoli appear spotless."

"I made this reservation with Hotels.com. I was not told that this was a bed and breakfast that was inside of an apartment building. We spent one whole day trying to find it. When we finally figured out where it was The front door was locked. We couldn’t figure out how to get in and weren’t able to talk to anyone. The biggest problem was lack of communication and language barrier. There were a lot of things that we were not told. Such as how to get into the building or contact the owner to let us...
