“The pros: really good value for money and a very affordable single room - by far the lowest price when I was booking, highly accessible location near the connection of the two main A roads in the area, characterful ancient building with a pub and beer garden on ground floor stocking local ales, quaint village setting and public square to the front, it's not actually on the main road itself so outside noise wasn't too bad with the window open.
The downsides: the reception or check-in is not……

“Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude.
Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back.
A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day.
Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again.”

“We just returned from our stay at Moorlands over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
We were two families with three children and had hired two apartments at the property. It was a lovely and comfortable place with all the home-like amenities you could need — every detail had clearly been carefully thought through.
We arrived quite late on Friday due to the Bank Holiday and half-term traffic, but the owner, Mark, was there to greet us at check-in (well past 11pm) and helped us settle in straight……

“Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed: We stayed two nights, one in a nice room over top of the pool hall in the back, and another over top of the bar/restaurant facing the waterfront.
Being off season, both rooms were quiet enough after bedtime, and we slept well.
Internet was good. Breakfast was okay, good enough, but not up to the standards of a modern hotel buffet.
Parking was easy, and everything in the town was only a very short walk away.”
