Field above Buckland Wood Taken from a bank top by the lane past Putridge. Only the very edge of Buckland Wood is in SS4319. The field is sloping towards a tributary of the River Duntz.
Lydeland Water valley. Tythecott Mill is hidden by trees in this view taken from roughly the same spot as 692387, looking down a steep narrow meadow beside the lane from Buckland Brewer. The continuing lane, towards Tythecott, can be seen slanting up the far hill on the right.

The bed was high and we, in our mid seventies, had to assist each other in and out each time. All in all, despite the wet, windy ...

Very friendly staff, hot tub wasn’t up to temp on our arrival but staff were very apologetic and we were not charged for it that evening. The Lodge was very clean, good quality bedding and toiletries.
