I went downstairs and asked if they had anything I could use to help drown out the music but the barman said no and pointed out to me that this is a pub and it's licensed to run until 2am so this will be going on for some time still I understand it's a pub and that but when the room is allowing the sound in due to the volume and being above the bar area it wasn't ideal. The heating in the room wasnt working and there was no lighting in the hall/ stairwell ..leaving early was a feel the way process and as with a pub it was incredibly noisy until midnight/one.Disappointed that a continental breakdast takeaway wasnt available due to leaving early. ..in rural area without shops or corner stores open. The staff were friendly , comfortable bed and pillows and a much needed warm snuggly blanket. Our room was clean and comfortable and the pub downstairs had a nice atmosphere. Creaking stairs and uneven floor was expected, bed was comfy but no heating at 10pm but okay in the morning. Staff were really pleasant. Mobile food vendor was both reasonably priced and tasted amazing.
