“DO NOT BOOK HERE. ILLEGAL BOOKINGS. Where to start. It’s absolutely not a hotel. Firstly, it’s illegal. There’s signs everywhere. It’s crazy that hotels.com advertise them. You don’t even get access to the pool, despite them using it in their pictures. They don’t offer any help with check in, it’s really backward. The key was difficult to locate and just in an unlocked postbox. The room was a mess with sticky stuff all over the floor. And to top it off there’s no working air con, roadworks……

“It took us a few times to get a hold of the host to get the key cards and access to the apartment on the day we checked in. We tried to contact them a day in advance of our check-in as Expedia suggested and there was no response. The apartment also looked different from the online photos drastically. There was no TV in the bedroom. The mattress was thin and uncomfy. Missing piece on the wall and baseboard in the bedroom. Stains on the couch were covered by a dirty black throw. The water in one……
