"We really enjoyed our stay at Annette and Ben's! Their adobe was one of the nicest places we've stayed, very comfortable to come back to after our hikes, had the necessary kitchen supplies including a good assortment of basic spices and condiments to cook some of our own meals and was in a beautiful location. Ben brought us fresh eggs, shared hike suggestions and was great at getting back to us. Their place is in a very rural area which was perfect for us. We loved sitting outside on the patio listening to the many birds while we enjoyed lunch or a snack after one of our hikes. If you enjoy rural life or need to get away from the city, I highly recommend Annette and Ben's adobe!"

"The property is old and worn. The first floor was being painted so hopefully the property is being updated. The front of the AC was broken, as if someone had fallen on it. The lamp shade was torn, the towels were rough, one coverlet was torn and mended. The property was nice and private...off the main highway. The pool was closed...too bad. I hope it will be upgraded because it was once the best motel in Espanola. The staff was wonderful, cheerful and helpful. It was very clean which is most important. We'd stay there again with limited expectations. "

"Gorgeous mountain view from a beautifully arranged, comfortable living room with a fire going, door open to hear the birds/wind/storm. Just lovely, lovely ambience with two very comfortable bedrooms (fireplace in the bedroom, too!). We didn't want to leave. Felt so secluded and quiet."
