Tsuruoka Vacation Packages
Tsuruoka is situated approximately 210 miles (338 kilometers) north of Tokyo, the country's capital.
Yamagata is a firm fixture on the tourist trail, which means getting around is a breeze. Make sure you give yourself sufficient time to discover the numerous scenic and cultural wonders the region has to share. You'll also find Shinjo, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Tendo 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the northwest.
Sendai, is another interesting place to visit. It is 65 miles (105 kilometers) from Tsuruoka and offers a diverse range of attractions, like Osaki Hachiman Shrine, Tohoku University and Aoba Castle (Sendai Castle). Sendai has lots to offer visitors willing to hang around here a little longer. Sendai Mediatheque, Museum of the Forest of Depths of the Earth and Sendai City War Reconstruction Memorial Hall are just a couple of the other sights worth visiting.
Travel encompasses so much more than simply taking in the sights, it's also about the words, stories and ideas of a place. Your experience in Tsuruoka will become much more meaningful if you make the effort to memorize some everyday words, sayings and salutations in Japanese. Gaining an understanding of just a few key words, such as "Isshoni odorimasenka?", which, in English means "Would you like to dance with me?", could make your vacation even more pleasant. You'll also realise that learning "Benjo wa doko desu ka?", which translates to "Where's the toilet?", can get you a long way.
When it's time to leave this special place, say a fond Sayōnara (farewell) to the people you've got to know and the great places you've seen.
