I booked Aloft Tucson because it’s part of the Marriott Bonvoy family, and the photos made it look like a cute, modern, fun place to stay. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations. The service was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. The hotel has a younger, casual vibe, which may appeal to some travelers. My biggest concern, however, was cleanliness. The elevators had a very unpleasant smell, as did the fourth-floor hallway where my room was located. At first glance, the room was nicely decorated and functional, but I didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. The shower looked dirty, and the coffee maker had a thick layer of dust on it, which made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. One positive was the fitness center, which is important to me when choosing a hotel. It was clean and offered water, towels, and sanitizing wipes. The equipment was a little older but did the job. After my evening workout, I returned to my room to shower and work, but around 10:30 p.m. the power went out. I had to use my phone’s hotspot to continue working. I really wanted to like this hotel, but the odors, cleanliness issues, and overall upkeep made the stay disappointing. With more attention to housekeeping and maintenance, it could be a much better experience.

Good location and the staff was friendly. Room was clean. Only downside was the hallways had some Cheez-It crumbs on the floor at one point, probably just a kid, no big deal. My real complaint is the $20 parking fee tacked on as a guest. If I’m already paying full price to stay, parking should be included, not an extra charge.

The room was not well cleaned at all there was dried human excrement on the shades of the window closest to the beds, The floor was not vacuumed and the table wasn't wiped down as there were sticky spots that could and should have been removed. It looks pretty online but it doesn't translate in person. The night staff didn't answer the phone so many times I had to come downstairs in my pajamas and it was only 9. Lastly I had to clean the pool before my guest and I could get in and there is bird you know on the lounge chairs. I feel bamboozled.

One elevator wasn’t working so the wait time for the only one working was long during the morning rush. Everything is just beat up; the wallpaper, carpets, ceiling, headboard were all damaged/peeling. Sheets and towels were perfectly clean. Staff worked hard to keep hallways clean and it I observed that they sprayed down carpets and wiped down doors frequently just passing through. The lady working at the front desk was great (Embassy) but the gentleman we encounter often over the weekend seemed a little disheveled and irritable. It was a convenient location for a swim meet our son attended at U of A. Overall just an average college hotel - heavily worn but it seemed they were doing the best they could. Cleaning staff was very friendly.

This place is the best! My boyfriend and I stayed a total of 4 days 3 nights total and not one complaint! The beds are soft but firm, hot water, soft towels, TV, good-smelling soaps and helpful staff. I'm in the process of moving states and my home had a bursted pipe so this was a wonderful stay. Also, Trident Grill across the street is a good place to eat and only 5 minutes away. The only downside is you have to pay for parking but it's not too bad and you get texts warning you of the time expiring. 10/10 great stay!!

Clean room and shower. Friendly staff who validated my parking. At first I was confused getting to the property parking lot because it says on Expedia and the Marriott app free parking but you have to pay. Told the staff I had to show it says free parking and then it got validated. Another person had the same issue and they were not required to show the free parking. I think that was weird because why are we being charged to park our cars if we are you’re paying guests. That’s all
