"The staff here are all so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. Lovely quiet area and convenient location.
Nice standard room with good size bathroom. Are only negative was lack of drawers in the wardrobe. We had to store our item's on the floor 😒 "

"We stayed for a wedding- even though the check in fell at a difficult time for the wedding (at the Old Cow Shed) Fran went out of her way to help us get the key, and then gave us a lift to the venue.
Room was warm and comfortable with tea, coffee and fresh fruit. Fran also facilitated a late checkout. Couldn’t ask for anything more, and significantly better than the alternative of the travelodge!"
"The cottage was spotless on arrival, everything we needed was there fiona met us on arrival & explained everything to us & answered any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend staying in this cottage, we will definitely be back as we loved the quietness staying here"
"Sophie’s Barn is a special find. We loved the setting in open countryside and the interior was great. Big open spaces inside and out. Bed and bedrooms are very comfortable and be linens are high quality. Great extras like games, artwork and welcome pack made things even better. We will be back. "
"The house itself is good, comfortable, and fairly reflects the listing, with ample space for a large house party. However, our otherwise enjoyable experience was let down by the lack of attention to detail, in terms of house-keeping and maintenance/repair. When paying a top-end price (about 7k for 4 nights) it was disappointing that several lights did not work (including bathroom lights, dining room main light, bathroom mirror light), the Aga never got up to cooking temperature even after 4 days (insufficient oil or needs a service?), and whilst the property was clean it had not been recently cleaned, hence dead flies/moths on windowsills, carpets, etc. A bathroom door handle came away from its mount due to loose screws. Also not having a key to the exterior door between the utility room and the parking area was frustrating for loading/unloading groceries. In addition, advance information on the type/make of coffee machine would have allowed us to bring the right pods. The heated swimming pool was good but it would have been better with a supply of some pool towels rather than having to use bathroom towels. That said, the welcome pack of basics (bread, milk, butter, etc) was appreciated, as was the good supply of logs and kindling. All in all we enjoyed our stay but it could have been even better with a bit more attention to the details. Thanks."
"A little bit of luxury hidden away. Beautifully decorated with excellent attention to detail and fabulous service from the owner. Thank you, we would definitely come again."
