This meticulously restored saltbox home offers a unique outport experience. Enjoy direct access to a private wharf, perfect for watching sunsets and enjoying the beach. With its character and ample space, it's an ideal spot for families seeking an unforgettable coastal retreat. The Space: Upon entering through the rear door, you'll find yourself in a convenient foyer. From here, you can access the laundry room, a half bathroom, and the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining area, which then opens to a comfortable living area. Ascend to the second floor, where you'll discover a full bathroom and two bedrooms, each offering stunning ocean views. The first bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, while the second boasts a queen-size bed. Continuing upwards to the third floor, you'll find another full bathroom and two more ocean-facing bedrooms, both furnished with double beds. Guest Access: Guest have access to the whole home and property, including the wharf/fire pit area. The Neighborhood: Saffron House is nestled in an area known by locals as Upper Jenkins Cove in Durrell. Durrell (referred to as "Durrells" or "Down Arm" by locals) is a former community that was amalgamated into the Town fo Twillingate in the early nineties. I was especially impressed with the working Mid 20th Century pushbutton stove, which I have only heard of but have never used before. Twillingate was our favorite location on our trip to Newfoundland, and the Twillingate/NWI Dinner Theatre was the highlight. This property had a nice view out the front to other parts of town, and was on a road less traveled so it was quiet. The house itself was very comfortable - funky retro kitchen! It was well-equipped with creature comforts and very clean. There were quiet a few toys and other items that would occupy children, if you have that need. Everything we needed was provided and was top line quality. Beds are super comfortable and views are stunning. The house is right on the beach with chairs and a fire pit over looking the bay. Windows of all rooms overlook the water. Loved the location and loved our visit. There is a lovely walk up into the hills right from the door that is not too technical and let’s you sit and watch the bay. Blueberries were everywhere in the area.
