North Vancouver sanctuary

Posted Sep 3, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, quiet even though located next to two major roads. Helpful staff.
Location: Located 200 metres east of Lion Gate bridge. On the same road as Capilano suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain ski resort.
A clean, generously appointed room. Helpful staff. And handily located to restaurants and the Park Royal shopping centre. The Grouse Inn is also conveniently located for Grosue Mountain and the Capilano suspension bridge and driving to Whistler and points north.

Besuch in Vancouver

Posted Aug 30, 2015

Avoid this hotel at all costs

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything. Check in time should be 1 pm. WiFi shoud be very strong all day long. Better quality of food availabl.
Check in time is 5 pm!! Even with hotel empty, after driving all night and morning to arrive at 2 pm we had to wait 3 more hours, even though the parking lot was empty of hotel guests. Counter clerk had a major attitude, and did not care if we stayed or not. No help at all. Told us to leave for a few hours and try after 5 pm. WiFi is so weak I had to wake up at 3 am each night (stayed 3 nights) to get enough internet strength to open emails. Very poor. Often drops the connection. Breakfast had no room to sit, and poor food selection.

Disappointed to find the old coffee still in the coffee pot and no new coffee pouches - 6am trip to the office!

Close to Stanley Park and Downtown

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to downtown and Stanley Park.
Cons: Fix or replace A/C unit so it does not emit foul smelling air. Have more variety for breakfasts.
I choose this hotel because it is close to downtown and Stanley Park. The staff were friendly and helpful in advising me about Vancouver. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The A/C unit emitted an odor that I found unpleasant and the breakfast was very basic with little variety.
