Located on the two last floors of an eighteen century Palace with extraordinary views especially from its terrace overlooking the rooftops of the city, the Grand Canal and La Salute

This lightfull apartment of more than 4.500 sqft, with elevator access, is located at the two last floors of the palace and offers no less than 3 living-rooms, including a music room upstairs of around 1.000 sqft, a dining-room for up to 10 guests, a huge fully equiped kitchen, five bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 twin and 1 single) as well as 3 bathrooms.

This place is a perfect location for family groups who want to experience an unforgettable stay in Venice.

Public waterbus stop (Vaporetto line 1) at 20 meters from the entrance of the palace with a direct access to all the main city spots trough the Grand Canal as well as a direct waterbus line (Allilaguna) to (and from) the Marco Polo airport.

We had a wonderful time. Party of 6 slept very well and enjoyed the apartment and its location in Venice. Views were gorgeous, could watch the sunrise everyday on the roof deck enjoying coffee and it was very close to the water taxi stop. We will be back! Thank you

There are pros and some cons to staying at the Grand Canal Terrace, so it will depend on your priorities. The property is in a 600-year old building so it definitely provides a unique experience. It is on the 4th floor and offers beautiful views of the canal and the rooftops of Venice from every window, and it was very clean and spacious. The location is central to Venice and right next to a water taxi stop and the host was great with communication, which we appreciated. The downside is that the apartment was not very functional for nine adults in the winter. The heat had been just turned on when we arrived, and some of the bedrooms were very cold for the entire first day (58 degrees F; 14 C). The upper floor was even colder! Also, there is only one actual shower with the other two bathrooms having a tub with a wand, but no wall hook for the wand so you could not wash your hair. There were really only two functional toilets, as well, and the lighting was minimal so it was quite dark at night. I suspect visiting in winter made the space more challenging than a spring/summer trip when it is warmer and the days are longer. We still made some fun memories together.

Great Location & Space

The location was unbeatable! Easy walk (with no stairs or bridges) from a taxi/bus drop off dock and a 10 min walk to San Marco square. Only 5 min walk from the closest grocery store and main streets and just far away enough to be quiet. The place has a small elevator, which was a life savor with luggage. There’s so much space so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Only downside was the water tank, which we were told about upon arrival, but there was a piece missing or broken and the tank had to be reset every 1-3 shower uses. This became tedious with 7 people needing showers over a 5 day stay. The site manager, Roberto, is very helpful and quick to communicate. Overall, it was a great stay.

Paid too much.

First of all, the owner’s Venetian property manager was extremely helpful, accommodating, and responsive. He gets an easy five stars. The property itself is in a great location, and it provides a lot of space. However, it was not particularly easy to stay in, lots of quirks and little issues. There were issues with the boiler which were again, promptly addressed but led to us having no heat or hot water for 2 of our 6 nights and we were surprised not to receive any offer of recompense or communication from the owner about that.For a lower price these things would be fine to overlook, but for the price we paid I think we could have had a more comfortable stay elsewhere.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a great family trip and enjoyed staying in the Grand Canal Terrace. The building is over 300 years old so we felt like we were staying in a living museum. We stayed in Nov so while Venice was cold the heating worked well so we were comfortable. The apartment was well appointed and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. There are however a few issues that I noticed others also mentioned. One shower is in a bathtub and only has the shower hose/handle that you need to hold over yourself. The second shower has part of the door missing and you also need to hold the shower hose as it won't stay up. For this price point I would expect showers without these issues. One bedroom is really tiny, looks out over a laundry room and doesn't have curtain so it hard to sleep once it gets bright. The couches on main living area have no backs so hard to sit in for longer times. There is a couch on the upper level that is comfortable, but this area is much colder than main level. There isn't much of a view from the apartment itself. There is a good view from the upper terrace that is on the top floor but given the temperature we didn't use it on our stay. It was not possible to close the bedroom door to the twin bedroom. Overall, for the price I would expect a truly luxury experience so while it was a good place to stay it didn't fully live up to my expectations.

Absolutely fabulous stay in a fantastic location in Venice

We LOVED our stay at Grand Canal Terrace. We only stayed for two nights but afterwards wished we had stayed longer. The location can't be beat. It's steps away from the Sant'Angelo ferry stop on the Grand Canal. The view from some of the bedrooms and the rooftop terrace is phenomenal. The space is huge and was perfect for our big family group. It's a historic building but there is a lift to get you up to the top floor where the apartment is. We would absolutely stay here again!

A grand stay on the grand canal

Our stay was nothing short of amazing.  The location was perfect, even at night, we never felt unsafe.  We were less than a 1 minute walk to the closest water taxi stop.  There was a local grocery store that was within a 5 minute walk.   The apartment was spacious, way more room than we needed for 5 adults.  The view from the roof deck terrace was breathtaking.  You can’t ask for more, when you are sipping an aperol spritz from your roof deck taking in the views of the grand canal.   Everything was clean and the kitchen was full of the tools you would need if you were planning to make meals.   10/10 would definitely recommend the apartment.  The 80+ stairs definitely were a work out, but they had a fully functioning elevator that guests could use as an alternative.

Smart Choice

Very conveniently located - be sure to take the municipal ferry AND NOT A PRIVATE TAXI to get there because the private taxi will just dump.you by the doge's palace. The kitchen is top notch and well equipped. The rooms are comfortable and there is a wealth of books and entertainment. The roof top.deck is a nice.plus too.

Very central location, steps away from vaporetto stop which cover main Line 1 and Alilaguna boat to Marco Polo airport..ample space fully enjoyed bybour party of 9. Easy to get in touch with property manager who walked us through property and respond promptly to request. A/C of 2 rooms was not cooling but plenty of room in last floor and living area we used instead to sleep. Great kitchen area, comfy rooms. Awesome Grand Canal view. Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment home in beautiful Venice!!

Amazing and Ideal

Every past trip we have stayed at hotels, but since this trip there were 9 of us (5 adults and 4 kids, less than 13 years old) we chose this place and to be honest was a little skeptical of how amazing it looked. We were more than surprised of how terrific this place was and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here. Inside space is huge. 5 bedrooms, 3 large living rooms, 3 bathrooms, spacious kitchen, dining room and even a balcony overlooking the city and grand canal. Everything was way bigger than appeared in the photos. Plus has AC and washer/dryer. Location is perfect, literally 100 steps from the Evaporeto stop, and even has an elevator to get to its location on 4th floor. Plus it was a 10 minute walk to San Macro and 10 minutes to Rialto. Plus there is dining and shopping within a few blocks. Lastly the host was very communicative and connected us with their local manager, Roberto, who speaks English and was very welcoming. Even helped us get a dining reservation at a local restaurant (which is no easy feat with 9 people in the busy month of June). So a big thank you and praises to Roberto. All in all, this place this is a unicorn in Venice!
