Beautifully decorated in Spanish Villa style. We had 2 queen beds and room was huge. Bathroom a bit dated but very clean. Continental breakfast was reasonable. Staff was great. Just 2 short blocks from downtown and great restaurant - Finney's!!!

This was a great stay for us just passing through on our way back home to Southern California. Convenient location for walking to many restaurant options and also very close to Mission San Buenaventura. It is an older property so the rooms could use some updating. Charming lobby, good breakfast and friendly staff.

Sadly, time is almost run out on the Clocktower Inn. It is in much need of an immaculate cleaning and a serious upgrade for it to be charging these kind of prices in this area. We had to move rooms due to a bedbug on one of our beds and both of the rooms that we were in had spiders and webs . I would hope that Expedia would compensate us As we feel like the advertisement was misleading and like previously mentioned the cost of our stay does not meet the advertised expectations.

This is the only time that expedia rating lied. Small rooms, cleanliness was very questionable. To plug in the chargers i had to move the furniture. But dont worry, you will always know when any of the neighbors goes to bathroom. Sound of the flushing will reach you everywhere. Also, you will not need an alarm. You will have to wake up with the very first neighbor that desired to take a shower. Breakfast was a complete joke. Dont really on it.

The staff was the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. The hotel was within walking distance to downtown so you could walk to the restaurants, shops and beach. The hotel itself is so charming. We had a cute patio outside. We will be staying here every time we come to Ventura!

Check-in was good parking was hard. Couldn’t find parking until after maybe six or 7 o’clock in the actual parking lot. Was able to check in around 130 had booked two queen beds ended up getting being given a room two full beds even though we were the first to check in, and there was plenty of queen bed options. I think the person that was checking us in just maybe overlooked it on the computer so we ended up having to get refunded the difference for the room at the end of the stay.

This is a great central location and the staff was was perfect. This is not the hotels fault but the area is not safe at night, so for the price we would have like to see a better effort keeping the cars safe. The issues we had was the cost was not balanced with the amenities.

Over priced for what it was: an outdated inn in touristy downtown Ventura surrounded by vagrants at all hours. The worst of it: Horribly uncomfortable beds on noisy rolling metal frames, and a persistant smell of urine below the connected balcany. Low toilet with rusty fixtures and a sad shower with terrible water pressure. The better things: Staff was friendly and very helpful, located close to downtown and the beach.

Overall , the staff and service were great . The downside of my stay came when I saw three homeless individuals by my car looking through the windows. The area can be a little shady and having a parking lot that is not secure is a major drawback.
