"Definitely not a 4start hotel, I would say its maybe 2 stars at best. Originally, we were put in a handicap room that did not have a toilet seat, had tears in the toilet (unsanitary), had used shampoo containers in the shower (so was likely not cleaned well) and had a horrible smell from the shower bathroom like sewage. We arrived late at night so we stayed and first thing in the morning asked to change rooms. The front desk staff was very rude and annoyed at the request and refused to move us. When, I said that I would need to cancel the remaining nights to find a new hotel, then they looked to change rooms but gave us a VERY hard time about it. The new room was only ok, at least no smell. They claim that in the future they will make all rooms handicap accessible, meaning no toilet seats and open showers, which I find very uncomfortable for families. The beds are not comfortable, the hotel is very out of the way and breakfast is quite limited (at least friendly staff for breakfast). We will definitely not stay at this hotel again. "

"I've stayed several times before: it's a big hotel but with character. It's vintage 1970s (I should say):dated but well-kept, and full of references to Garibaldi. The name relates to the 'Thousand' who set out with the General to unify Italy in the 19th Century (Bergamo claims that they came from there). There are restaurants 15 minutes walk away. The breakfast - included - is good and very varied, and the staff are friendly. And it has its own free car-park: I've used it in the past. 24-hour reception has been a life-saver for me: one time my flight was badly delayed and I had to walk from the airport (it took me an hour), arriving at 2 am. I got in with no trouble, and collapsed in my bath (yes, the rooms have small baths!) For the price, it's astonishing value."

"Good accessible hotel only ten mins walk from the main train station. We only stayed for a night and found it perfect for a short stay. Breakfast was basic and coffee was great. "

"This is not really a hotel. It ends up being more like an Airbnb. There is no one to receive you, and all access instructions are sent in writing. They also ask you to pay taxes online through an external link outside of Expedia, which feels unsafe and untrustworthy. In fact, you have to do it, otherwise they do not send the exact address or access instructions. It is basically a house converted into rooms, with a shared bathroom for everyone. At least it was clean."

"Excellent reception and restaurant staff. Fabulous extra large bed and the bus transfer was also a massive benefit with a friendly driver. Would recommend if you need to be close to the airport."

"Just right for a very late night arrival from the airport. Decided to walk from the airport as there was a long queue for taxis. Easy well lit walk at 2.30am, we were sent instructions on how to enter via a key safe - the video sent by the hotel made it super easy. Room was clean, comfy, nice bathroom and had kettle with tea and coffee. Hosts were lovely as was the breakfast, personally we couldn’t fault it. "
