Could not find our reservations so almost did not get a room. The lady at check in worked really hard to find it and then accommodated for us to be on bottom level due to be on motorcycles. Had to take batteries out of smoke detector at 1:30am. But over all decent place for a quick overnight.

Great affordable place to stay, service was helpful and provided great recommendations for what to do and eat in town. Definitely will be staying again when I’m back in Vernal.

This was a decent place to stay but there was no hot water. The staff was great, quickly accommodating our request to store our ice packs in their freezer. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The inn is on a major highway so it was a bit noisy.

Don't waste your money. Let's start with the positives: the mattress was reasonably comfortable; the mini fridge and microwave worked. But, the room was not clean. The sheets smelled like I slammed my face into a bowl of clorox and had (what looked like cigarette) holes in them. There was hot water the first night we were there, but not after that. There was only one wash cloth and hand towel. This place is not worth the money.

We requested a pet friendly room but Expedia didn't convey that to the motel and all pet rooms were full. Very disappointed with Expedia! You need to make sure that request gets to the motel.

Not cheap enough to be worth it

The vent in the bathroom did not work. The shower grout was full of black mold. There were ants in the breakfast buffet room. The room smelled so strongly of lemon scent cleaner it was choking. The toilet seat was very loose. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Beds were ok. The bathroom was so dirty. The tiles haven’t been cleaned in a very ling time. Staff had to come into the room and show us how to turn on the shower and flush the toilet. If you need instructions on how to operate the plumbing, it needs to be fixed. There are no additional locks on the door, just the deadbolt.

Very outdated. We weren’t given enough towels, used coffee filter was left in coffee pot. Breakfast was minimal. We had a room next to a highway and the door had gaps so it was extremely noisy from traffic. We were disappointed that Expedia offered this location.

Bezeichnen Raucher-Zimmer als Nichtraucher

Das Split Mountain Motel in Vernal war unser mit Abstand schlechtestes Hotel/Motel während 3 Monaten Weltreise. Die Gründe: Als Nichtraucher waren wir verwundert, dass an der Tür unseres Zimmers (Nummer 124) ein Raucher-Zeichen war. Beim Öffnen der Tür schlug uns direkt starker Rauch-Geruch entgegen. Als wir zurück zum Office gingen und darauf hin wiesen, dass wir ein Nichtraucher-Zimmer gebucht hatten, wurde uns unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass dies ein Nichtraucher-Zimmer wäre. Nach einiger Zeit konnten wir das Personal überreden, mit zum Zimmer zu kommen. Dort wurde es unglaublich lächerlich. Das Personal sah das Raucher-Zeichen und bestätigte uns auch den Geruch. Als Reaktion kam folgende erschütternde Aussage: "Das ist trotzdem ein Nichtraucher-Zimmer". Nach ein paar weiteren Runden lächerlicher und demütigender Diskussion bestand ich auf einem anderen Zimmer. Dies wurde mir zwar gewährt, aber nochmals musste ich mir 3 mal sagen lassen, dass das vorherige Zimmer auch bereits ein Nichtraucher-Zimmer gewesen sei (ja, das Zimmer mit dem Raucher-Zeichen und dem Rauch-Gestank!). Weiteres: Die Klimaanlage kühlte sehr schlecht und war extrem laut. Nach 60 Sekunden Duschen war das Wasser eiskalt. Die zweite Person konnte nach einer Stunde Wartezeit dann auch nur 60 Sekunden duschen. Das Frühstück besteht ausschließlich aus Süßigkeiten: Süße Waffeln, süße abgepackte Muffins, stark gezuckerte Cerealien. Keinerlei Protein.
