The stay was nice, the room was a bit too small, but okey. The staff was very helpful, and the parking convenient and cheap (12 euro). The breakfast wasn’t very varied but everything offered was good!

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was an average buffet. Not bad, but not good either. The layout of the hotel was atrocious. The elevator was too small and the layout and size of the room made it very uncomfortable. Very small and cramped. The receptionist was fine, but I had to pay the tax for the room in cash. I didn’t have a small enough bill for the receptionist to make change. I later made a purchase outside the hotel to be able to pay the tax. Small gripe, but annoying. Loved the city of Rouen, but couldn’t wait to leave the hotel.

Great location for exploring Rouen If you’re looking for a hotel in a great location, I would definitely recommend the Mercure Rouen. Everything is within easy walking distance, which made exploring the city really convenient. We stayed in a family room with a king-size bed and bunk beds for the kids, which worked perfectly for us. The room faced the street, but it was surprisingly quiet, and the air conditioning was excellent — especially appreciated during the hot weather! The amenities are fairly minimal, but you have everything you need for a short stay. The gym is very basic and could definitely be better equipped. Overall, a very comfortable and practical base for a couple of days in Rouen, and we would happily stay again.
