Our room was quite hot and sleeping was a bit difficult. Since the room was at the street level we could not just open the doors and windows especially since we needed opaque drapes due to the midnight sun in the summer..

Great location, lovely room with view of mountains. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Special kudos to bartender, Phillip, who gave us good tips on seeing puffins and was fun to talk to.

Lovely hotel in the small town of Vik. Nice bar area to relax in after a long day at the glaciers. Wonderful American breakfast in the morning… It was delicious!! Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling through the area.

Nice hotel for a night but with Spa and Hot Tub I wouldn’t do more than a night… Great breakfast and public lounge area.. Our window was broken so you had to leave the doors open for ventilation… The TV choices were horrible… BBC and true crime channels.. no sports or recreational channels and Wimbledon and the Euros soccer was going on and it was only available on the lounge TV. Lame.. There’s a place for a small refrigerator but they don’t have them.. We hung a bag out the patio to keep our drinks cool.. For a hotel built in 2017 at 300 euro a night id look elsewhere… Friends invited us to their place at Katla By Keahotels down the road.. mite wanna take a look if spa/hot tub is more important than ping pong..

A fantastic hotel that blends in to the surroundings at Vik. The room was well laid out. A comfortable bed, a great shower facility, and a good amenities. The major star of this place though is their amazing restaurant. The food is out of this world. Definitely reserve a table for dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely hotel and great location. Breakfast is excellent. The only thing we didn’t love was hot our room got and there was little we could do to cool it, even opening the windows didn’t help much and the thermostat didn’t seem to make an impact. Overall we’d definitely stay again.

We stayed in Hotel Kria for one night during a recent trip to Iceland. Online, the property looked beautiful and well maintained. In person, it was decent but definitely not beautiful. The coffee machine looked used and the room key card was scratched. The room was quite small. Also, be aware that the bathroom door is a sliding glass door that is transparent on the top and bottom. Altogether, Hotel Kria fulfilled the function we needed, and is definitely a solid 3.
