A couple rare weeks in August 2026 are still open! Book now!

10/10 Excellent
"The house was amazing! So unique and charming. We had a group of 16, 6 yr old to grandparents and fit comfortably. Favorites of the group were the house, trails, beach, and sauna. Also playing kickball in the back. There’s a nice clear area to play. Kids and adults used the tv house for movies and loved the foosball table in game building. Deb the caretaker was awesome! We would all love to return to the island again!"

"Perfect set up. In town, but feels isolated in the woods. Plenty of parking. Only concern is no air conditioner. Nights were cool so it worked out fine. Highly recommend!"

Sportsman's Landing

Sportsman's Landing

8/10 Good
"Our party of 8, with a mix of adults and older teens (ages 16–20), stayed here for a long weekend of ATV riding. Overall, the cabin worked well for our group. The location is convenient for accessing the ATV trails, though you'll need to ride a short distance on the County Road before connecting to the trail system. The cabin sits right on the lake with a large yard for yard games and a campfire and is just down the road from the public swimming beach, which was a nice bonus. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a full day of riding, and the sunsets over the lake were beautiful. Parking for two larger trucks with trailers was manageable, although one of us used the neighboring public boat landing for additional parking.Overall, the cabin met our needs and was a good value for our group. The only downsides were that the beds weren't the most comfortable—I recommend bringing your own pillows and perhaps an extra blanket if you prefer a cozier night's sleep—and the frequent train passes throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper, the train noise may make it difficult to get a good night's rest."

"We were under the impression the walking dock was right off the back yard, however it was a little drive. Not a huge deal but a little bit of a bummer bc kids couldn't just walk down there. Otherwise it was amazing!"

Sauna + Deck: Wooded Cabin on Lake Vermilion!

Sauna + Deck: Wooded Cabin on Lake Vermilion!

8/10 Good
"Pros: Impeccably clean, well appointed kitchen. Comfy living room, deck with a view of the channel. Sauna works well and is very relaxing. Washer and dryer work well. Comfortable beds and bedding. When we ran out of bottled water, the property managment company brought more within 48 hours. The lawn and other outside areas are well maintained, and the dock is safe and pretty. The Roku TVs are a nice plus.Cons: The cabin is not on Lake Vermilion proper. It's on the very shallow channel leading to the lake, but getting to the lake, even on the included pedal boat, requires navigating rocks. Despite the sign in the photos with an arrow saying "go jump in the lake," the very first instruction upon arrival is to NOT jump in the lake because you'll hurt yourself. The "den" with extra beds is not really a den, it's a mostly unfinished daylight basement/shop with a concrete floor. The property is reasonably well maintained but mostly because of plywood covering up what used to be a bathtub upstairs. A lot of unfinished stuff downstairs in the "den", including heat/water/etc. and exposed pipes, as well as florescent lights."

"Very nice and clean. Fished off the pier but didn’t catch many. We went on a guided fishing trip for walleye and caught our limit. Ask for guide, Nate! Rented a pontoon boat and fished some more. Had a great time."
