“Perfect weather for a getaway! Great location to get to get around. Cottage was perfect for us. Fire pit was great to hang out at. Went kayaking across the street. Beautiful lake. However, the access to the lake was a wee bit steep but we are in shape to handle it. All in all it was a great time!”

“We needed a central location for my daughter’s bridal shower. We could not have imagined a better place. It is beautiful and so natural. Glen was helpful and welcoming. He even came over to sweep off the expansive patio before our guests arrived and this was after he made sure everyone was awake. The house was well supplied with kitchen and dining items. The grounds were perfect - lawn chairs, picnic table, fire pit and free range chickens whose eggs we were able to enjoy. We would all stay here……

“The cabin is really cute & has wind chimes & garden art all around it that integrates so perfectly with the natural oasis it is set in. This is a great place for a nature loving couple to enjoy. Singing birds, frogs, turtles chipmunks & fish in the lake, are the only neighbors you will notice o this beautiful property. Karen is a lovely gracious host and both she and the cabin are very welcoming & charming. Its a perfect spot go to with your soulmate & reconnect with nature.”

“We had a lovely weekend stay for a quick family get-away. The main kitchen and living area has spectacular views onto the lake as does the deck where we spent most of our time. The lake is just across the very quiet street. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, the host super responsive and the rooms very comfortable. We did not use the well equipped basement work-out and additional TV space but it looked great. Easy to get to grocery store, hikes, local attractions but honestly we just loved……

“We would 100% go back to this house. The cabin was immaculate and had all the essential equipment for very successful fishing. We went with a family of four and the cabin was perfectly sized. The host was responsive and attentive. I have no critiques as we had an absolute blast.”

“Great property, very clean and host was quick to reply. We were impressed with the amenities available (most places don’t have detergent, etc) and the view was amazing! We didn’t have time to go to the dock but it looked very nice! Wish we had time to stay longer. We will definitely try to stay there again for our next family event”

“The property was gorgeous, the house large enough to accommodate our group. The kitchen was well stocked. We used the pool, hot tub, fire pit, and pool table. The indoor and outdoor speakers were a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this home I had to reach out to our host 2 days before check in to find out how to get in- usually that is communicated earlier than that. I had informed the host that we were going to have a luncheon for 10 additional people after the memorial service and was……

“This house had so much going for it! Great location, huge space, every bell and whistle imaginable. Very well furnished and equipped. We had a lovely time, and I can't imagine a place we'd have enjoyed more.”

“If I could have given it more than 5 stars I would have. Beautiful, quiet area and the place is stunning. The gas fireplace in the dining area was great, has pretty much everything you could need and incredibly stylish (the retro fridge and microwave were very cool). Can’t speak to the pullout but the king in the master might have been the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and the double shower is awesome. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Went to hike and the number of trails within……

“Our family had wonderful stay at this beautiful, well-equipped house overlooking Candlewood Lake. It is situated on a large grassy lot with a very private feel in a quiet little neighborhood very close to a small beach and dock. We appreciated having three full bathrooms, and we found the master queen bed quite comfortable. There was a well done welcome guide to the property with clear instructions, as well as information about the local area. In addition, the host was very prompt and thorough……

“Came here for a birthday getaway filled with hiking, and great restaurants! It rained the entire time, but this beautiful cottage was so relaxing, with the windows overlooking the private backyard, we simply sat and read and watched the rain roll by. Lots of room, spacious bedrooms. Great for a family.”
