Both Lake and River frontage! Great fishing!

What a great place for the avid angler or the family looking for a quiet get away. This fully restored cottage has a large, private yard perfect for relaxing and features 200+ ft of frontage on Flowage lake, which is famous for it's pike and bass fishing. Also included is frontage on the West Branch of the Rifle River for some of the best trout fishing in the state. A canoe and 3 kayaks are available for guest's use at no charge. When not enjoying the lake and river, you can entertain yourself with the pool table, Foosball table or other games included in the walk out basement. Other amenities include a lake side deck, a river side patio with outdoor fireplace, BBQ grill, washer and dryer, 3 televisions, and central air conditioning. The town of West Branch features great shopping including a Walmart and a Meijers store, a Dunhams Sporting goods store, and a ridiculous number of terrific restaurants, many of whom will deliver right to your door.

Best of both worlds
The property was amazing you have the best of lakefront, views and river front. Listening to the dam and river was so relaxing, the lake is also very calm and the views are really nice. Fishing was amazing we caught largemouth bass, rock bass, and brown trout in the river we even cooked the fish over the fire. The house was cozy everyone had enough space (this was nice especially with 3 young adult sons). My sons especially enjoyed the basement pool table later in the evenings. House is very equipped and clean. Property is private one of the best home rentals I have booked for a holiday weekend.

Great Setting
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully appointed. Great fishing on the lake, caught several 37 inch pike! Close to town, but very quiet and secluded.

Weekend fishing getaway
Really enjoyed our stay at the comfy, clean as a whistle, Fish Camp! The home is very well stocked, and in such a private, peaceful area, you really feel like you're away from it all. My husband caught a large pike from the shore, which was fun for him, as well as smaller bass and perch that we caught and released. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful, relaxing and great value
Good fishing and very nice location, far enough away from the freeway not to hear traffic, but just minutes away from downtown. The game room downstairs is great for evening family gatherings and rainy day activities. Good hiking and shopping in the area. Definitely keep the private property chain across the driveway though, as some locals assume it is a public lake access.

Terrific lake cottage vacation
Amazing place inside and out. The cottage is half surrounded by water, with all water activities and fishing. The lake seems like a private one especially on a week day, very quite and relaxing. There is no beach, but you can swim from a boat. A lot of great trails within 10 mins drive. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you may need and tastefully decorated according to the 'fish camp' theme. The host is very responsive and attentive. We hope to be back...

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake. The house was comfortable. We kayaked every day on the lake and caught several large Bass. Was a good place to unwind for the week. We would definitely consider staying here again. The lake is pretty secluded without a public landing. Just locals on pontoon boats.

Nice House with Questionable Fishing
I have mixed feelings about this rental. On the one hand, the house was nice and clean. It was a nice place to stay, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this place is heavily advertised as a fishing rental. It is on the corner of a small lake and a river. There was no boat ramp available on the lake to put our pontoon in, so we had to leave it behind. This meant shore fishing only. We figured it wouldn't be a problem, since the rental ad went on and on about how great the river fishing is. Well, after trudging down a huge stairway to the river, it turns out there is a little bit of rough shore access right under the damn, but then the next-door neighbor had fenced off their supposed property and had warning signs (and cameras) to stop people from fishing on their land. This essentially cuts you off from the good river fishing. The rental owner had left instructions about going into the river and bypassing the neighbor's property. This would require fishing waders, and steady enough walking skills to walk down the center of a rushing river (on slimy rocks). We had multiple senior citizens fishing with us (and no waders) so this was not going to happen. It was a matter of safety. The tiny section of the river we could access without entering the river was a total dud. The lake shore fishing was OK. The shore is steep and rocky. Tough on seniors. We caught a few small fish. If you advertise it as a fishing place, It really needs a dock and a boat ramp.

Fish Camp was the perfect weekend getaway for the family. The property is tucked away for that private “up north” feel, yet literally minutes from the amenities of town. Great house, great host, great property, great area, great fishing, great weekend, we will be back for sure!!!

Excellent property and amenities
The property is loaded with literally everything you will need (inside and out) for a relaxing family weekend or a fishing trip with friends. Kayaks, life jackets and many other amenities included outside, while the indoor had everything and more. The boys loved the pool table in the basement and the beds and other furniture were very comfortable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

This is a great place to stay. It is beautiful and very clean! Having the lake and the river was awesome. We caught a lot of fish. We enjoyed our stay here and plan on coming back! Al was great and responded very quickly to questions. Definitely recommend if you want a peaceful place to stay with beauty surrounding you and fishing! Can't say enough great things about this place. Also we loved all the fishing decor!

Hidden gem
We used to own property in the West Branch area, and love coming back to visit old friends, and just enjoying the area lime we used to. We found this hidden gem on Flowage Lake. Frontage on the lake, and the Rifle River as well, not to mention the soothing waterfall sounds of the dam. The property was perfect! So comfortable and fun! Love all the fishing decor! And the river views from inside the first floor shower...wowza! Al, the host was very helpful and responsive.
