“We stayed one night checking was easy. They still have the old school key to get in the room. It was fine for what we needed. However, I would recommend possibly upgrading the linens at some point and towels very tired. Overall, the room was very clean. Just a very dated bathroom, but it was clean. Bring snacks from wherever you're coming from. Because nothing in the little town is open past I think eight o'clock. We wish we would have brought snacks.”
“There was a burn mark on the carpet in the shape of the pointed end of an iron.
Saw 2 earwig bugs in the bathtub
Rusty marks along the edge of the bathtub/wall border.
Other than those things, the room was clean and a very comfortable stay. ”
“The room was clean and comfortable, and overall it was good value for the price.
The building has some older charm, so the floors were a little uneven and the stairs up to the room were quite steep. The walls were also a bit thin, so we could hear people talking in the next room. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and felt it was reasonable for the price.
I would suggest not to book people in rooms next to each other if there is space.”
“Beautiful historical house, furnishings & decor. Located on Main Street in the heart of Markdale. Queen ensuite room is impeccably clean with loads of vintage charm.”
“Too expensive for what was there.......Could have been vacuumed better....... coffee Kurigg did not work...... took forever to figure out how to run the TV with 2 remotes and no instruction sheet..And of course painting over blemishes and wallpaper peeling off the walls...... Was told there were only 3 rooms left - took a video of parking area- no one else was at the motel.
Lady was most pleasant otherwise we would have walked away.”
