Although small, the primary use was a bed and place I could use as a base to visit clubs in Wick and Thurso. The bedroom was small and compact. The staff in the Camp Bar (reception) were both welcoming and knowledgeable of the people and area. They do not serve meals however there are plenty of places to eat out within yards of the Hotel. The staff was great and friendly though. I didn't like the bathroom being separated from the room, despite that only I had access to it, I don't like having to walk across a communal space to get to the bathroom. The room itself was alright, you get what you pay for, it's small, but they put in some effort in practicality. There wasn't space to put my bag on so they stayed on the floor with a lot of other stuff. Lobby smelt quite strongly of cigarettes and looked abit dated. However, the room itself was lovely. Only let down being the TV was abit small for us to use but the room itself was a lovely modern grey theme with a comfortable bed. Bathroom wasnt an en-suite but was only across the hall and was reflected in the price so cant complain! Tea, coffee, bottle of water, T.V. + wifi in the room. Personal toilet + shower across the landing. Enjoyed an overnight stay here and my short trip walking around Wick.
