“Where do I begin--- 1) upon checking in Friday a maintenance guy was parked in the driveway so I had to contact the owner where to park since the property is on a very narrow road and there is no available street parking, 2) maintenance guy was on the property for almost 2 hours to get heat and hot water working, 3) I was instructed to turn up the heat to heat up the water (that didn't work, couldn't take comfortable warm showers at bedtime after a long travel day), 3) left early in the morning……

“Wonderful country stay in a great location! Super clean and well equipped, comfortable in every way. Only suggestion I would make is putting TV in main room instead of bedroom. Loved being able to walk across street to restaurants and liquor store. ”

“We were a group of moms who snuck away for the night and this cabin was the perfect retreat. Well stocked and very cozy on a winter night. We had to leave very early the next morning to beat a snowstorm and the very long driveway was already sanded and we felt very safe. Lisette was great to work with and communicated everything with efficiency. We would love to return. ”

“Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. Coming from Texas, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Connecticut.Carol's 1860 home is nicely furnished and spotless. Crisp bed linens and oversized……

“We were put in a lodging that wasn’t the one we rented. We had no hot water and the owner wouldn’t fix so VRBO moved us to a hotel. Terrible. We have asked for a refund but have gotten no response from VRBO. As far as I am concerned this is fraud. ”

“The house is ideally situated, for those who want a piece of Catamount and for those who wish to forego skiing for a day in nearby Great Barrington and other towns like it. The house itself is well maintained and if you forgot towels or even toiletries the host Sabrina has you covered. Sabrina is the one who makes your stay shine further - always accessible and highly responsive. Consider a visit if you are seeking quiet comfort, a drink by the wood stove fireplace, or a perfect landing spot……

“We had coordinated an early check-in, but when we arrived, the house hadn’t been cleaned yet which was a miscommunication. I reached out to Catherine and she promptly responded and got the cleaners RIGHT over. The house was spotless and in wonderful condition for the rest of our stay, and it was dealt with very quickly and wonderfully. Would definitely stay again. The house was great for our girls trip. Also the beds are very comfortable!! ”
